Our commitments to equal opportunities

Strong, tangible commitments to promote equal opportunities

At Sopra Steria, we believe that citizen engagement is everyone’s business and is built on our collective actions.

Diversity is a source of wealth for our Group. Through our projects supporting good causes and responsible partnerships, we confirm our desire to fight discrimination, promote equal opportunities and foster talent. We strive to recruit employees from various backgrounds and to be fair to our teams.

Our commitment to gender equality in the workplace

Promoting diversity is an important commitment for the Group. We are implementing concrete actions to attract more women to digital sectors, develop their presence and support their career development at all levels of the company. Our commitment notably involves the implementation of a common Group policy and the coordination of mixed networks in the countries in which we operate.

We are also implementing training programmes to combat stereotypes and foster well-intentioned relationships between women and men. More than 1,000 Group employees are signed up to networks that attract more women to the digital sector. Examples include the passer’Elles network in France, Wow in India and Women@Sopra Steria in Germany, the United Kingdom and Norway..., which aim to attract future digital professionals.

Inclusion of employees with disabilities

We implement a dedicated policy to promote professional integration and job stability of workers with disabilities. We take innovative measures in the areas of recruitment and workstation adaptation and we train and raise awareness among our teams.

We also leverage our skills to support people with a disability, particularly as part of the digital innovation challenge deployed throughout the Group. As part of this initiative, we encourage our teams to put forward innovative solutions that help people with a disability to gain independence.

Our commitment to diversity and the professional inclusion of young people

Access to education for all and the professional inclusion of young people are major challenges for our Group. We are taking action to promote equal opportunities and develop young talent. In partnership with local players, we offer young people workshops to become acquainted with digital professions, as well as educational programmes and vocational training courses to boost professional inclusion.
