Sopra Steria is a signatory of the Paris Call that the French President has launched on November 12th, at the Forum for Peace.

The Paris Call for Confidence and Security in Cyberspace, launched by the French President, is a high-level declaration to the commitment to developing common principles for securing cyberspace.

Cyberspace is a place of opportunity but also a place of new threats. The development of cybercrime and malicious activities online can endanger users’ private data as well as vital infrastructures.

Sopra Steria wishes to support the signatories of the Paris Call in enforcing the rights of individuals and protecting them both online and in the physical world. Furthermore, it recognises that these signatories have an obligation to ensure that international law, including the Charter of the United Nations in its entirety, international humanitarian law and customary international law, is applied during the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Through this work, the signatories, including Sopra Steria, openly state their support for an open, secure, stable, accessible and peaceful cyberspace;
