Sopra Steria partners with the e-Enfance / 3018 Association to strengthen the protection of young people in the digital age

Title* : Sopra Steria partners with the e-Enfance / 3018 Association to strengthen the protection of young people in the digital age
  • Sopra Steria is providing multi-year financial support to the e-Enfance / 3018 Association, a recognised public interest organisation designated as a “trusted flagger” by Arcom under the European Digital Services Act (DSA), and operator of 3018, the national freephone helpline for protecting young people against digital harassment and violence.
  • This partnership forms part of the Sopra Steria Group’s European-wide social responsibility and solidarity policy in support of vulnerable young people.
  • It aims to strengthen the Association e-Enfance / 3018’s capacity for action, notably through the development of the 3018 helpline, the modernisation of the association’s tools, and the expansion of its research activities.

Paris, 3 June 2026. Sopra Steria, a major player in the European tech sector, announces its multi-year financial support for the e-Enfance / 3018 Association, a leading organisation in France and Europe dedicated to protecting children and teenagers from digital harassment and violence. This sponsorship fully aligns with the Group’s new philanthropic policy, which places the support of vulnerable young people and their families in their digital lives at the heart of its commitments.

As young people’s digital usage continues to grow, the risks of cyberbullying, exposure to harmful content and online violence are intensifying. In Europe, one in four children has already been cyberbullied, according to a European Union study published in 20251. More than ever, the protection of minors in the digital space is a key societal issue.

“The question is no longer whether we should protect minors online, but how to do so effectively through trusted third parties. With the growing use of social media and conversational AI as sources of information and social connection, and in the face of rapidly evolving technologies, an increasing number of young people find themselves ill-equipped or inadequately supported. Supporting the e-Enfance charity means acknowledging this reality and helping to provide concrete solutions – ranging from early prevention to rapid response – at a European level,” says Axelle Lemaire, Executive Director of Sustainable Performance at Sopra Steria

A commitment to education and digital inclusion for the most vulnerable young people

Sopra Steria has a long-standing commitment to digital inclusion and access to education, particularly through the civic engagement of its employees. The Group has now decided to step up its efforts to support the most vulnerable young people: at a time when the emancipatory power of digital technology is being called into question by the emergence of new vulnerabilities, it is supporting solidarity initiatives that help to improve understanding of digital practices and protect vulnerable groups.

“Sopra Steria is proud to partner with e-Enfance and its teams, whose daily commitment to helping young victims commands respect and deserves our full support. As a player in the tech sector, it is our social responsibility not to remain detached from these realities. e-Enfance and its European non-profit counterparts help to encourage open dialogue in schools, on the ground, as close as possible to where the needs lie, and alongside parents,” adds Eric Pasquier, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sopra Steria.

The e-Enfance / 3018 Association, a leading organisation dedicated to the protection of minors

The e-Enfance / 3018 Association is a charity founded in 2005 that works to protect minors from online abuse. It runs awareness-raising campaigns reaching 200,000 children, teenagers, parents and professionals every year; supports victims via 3018, a free, anonymous and confidential helpline and app which received over 124,500 enquiries in 2025 (an average of 500 per day); and carries out institutional advocacy work with public authorities and digital platforms.

As a member of the European Insafe network, co-funded by the European Commission and recognised as a “trusted flagger” by Arcom under the European Digital Services Act (DSA), the Association e-Enfance / 3018 is France’s leading organisation in the fight against digital violence and harassment affecting minors. Sopra Steria is providing multi-year financial support to the group to ensure the sustainability and expansion of these initiatives, specifically to strengthen the association’s capacity for action, modernising its tools and supporting its research, particularly regarding minors’ digital autonomy in the face of generative artificial intelligence.

“Sopra Steria’s support represents much more than a financial contribution: It is recognition by a major player in the digital sector that protecting young people online is a collective challenge, one that involves the whole of society, including businesses. Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to strengthen our initiatives, accelerate the Observatory’s work and intensify our cooperation with our counterparts elsewhere in Europe. Together, we want to build a safer digital space for future generations,” explains Justine Atlan, Chief Executive of the e-Enfance / 3018 Association.
