Sopra Steria Group supports the customer's transformation by implementing a modern and future-proof central data management system for Environmental, Social and Governance data. We have been granted development, architecture and management tasks.
The challenge
As part of the new statutory requirements for Environmental, Social and Governance, the reporting (EU Taxonomy, pai statement) must be provided with data. To meet the requirements, a central data management system is set up on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with the aim of preparing and providing the necessary data for customer systems. It is intended to serve as a "single point of truth" for bank green IT governance.
The solution
Interfaces are set up, allowing the desired data to be consumed depending on the system and preferences, considering the data governance. They range from data deliveries (e.g. file) to dynamic, definable APIs and direct access to defined out-structure views. This allows the regulatory and legal requirements for Environmental, Social and Governance and sustainability reporting to be covered.
The result
Establishing a Central Environmental, Social and Governance Data Management on GCP as a "Single Point of Truth". Creating a Dynamic DQ Framework for Data Quality and Integrity. Advancing the Digital Transformation of the Environmental, Social und Governance Hub to Enhance Bank Quality and Compliance. Introducing dbt for efficient data transformation with complete data lineage transparency.
