World ATM Congress 2022 in Madrid

- | minute read

Sopra Steria participates in the WAC (World Air Traffic Management Congress) 2022 in Madrid from 21st to 23th June.

The unique opportunity to meet and discuss with our clients concerning the ecosystem of the modernization of ATM systems and its future developments.

Sopra Steria Aeroline is a facilitator and accelerator of the digital transformation of its clients thanks to the following approaches: with industrialized services and engineering expertise, while taking into account the new environmental constraints.

Meet us at our booth #957 !

How to tackle environmental and societal issues by rethinking engineering ATM systems?

The ATM has been deeply disrupted in the last few years by the health crisis and it is likely that we will no longer fly like we used to. This upheaval was only a prelude to the real revolutions to come with climate and societal issues. ATM must adapt and address these new challenges.
During this conference, Sopra Steria will present its vision anchored in an industrial reality and its approach to sustainable aviation.
After setting the scene, we will present our approach, based on a strong involvement in R&D programs to rethink engineering from the design phase, the mastery of new technologies to get the best out of them, and a collaborative and agile management philosophy, necessary when dealing with work of this magnitude.

Towards Cloud architectures for core critical ATC Systems: Myth or Reality?

Safety and security of systems and operations have always been ATM pillars and mandatory backbones. Nevertheless, this necessary requirement becomes more and more a limitation to the domain transformation.
Moreover, the ATM domain is challenged by more processes’ integration, build and operations cost efficiency as well as environmental impact consideration. Thus, the supporting ATM Systems needs to:

  • Evolve toward more flexibility, scalability, variability and openness;
  • Embrace more efficiently and rapidly the change of technology, architecture and business processes.

The aim of this conference is to demonstrate that ATM systems can be flexible, scalable, rapidly evolving without neglecting safety and security.
Are Cloud architectures the enablers to transform core critical ATC systems?
