Rolled out since June 2026 across the École supérieure de la banque's training programmes, "Mon Coach IA" puts future advisers in front of AI-simulated clients. It addresses a challenge that traditional training struggles to solve: building client-relationship skills at scale, without needing one trainer per learner.
Paris, 27 August 2026 - Sopra Steria, a major Tech player in Europe, and Gwenlake, a French specialist in data and artificial intelligence, have announced the roll-out of "Mon Coach IA" for the École supérieure de la banque. The solution trains banking and wealth-management advisers for the reality of client meetings. In testing since June 2026, "Mon Coach IA" will be used by more than 1,000 learners from September 2026.
No two meetings are ever the same
As financial institutions face a constant need to develop their staff's sales, interpersonal, technical and regulatory skills, training methods are evolving to offer more immersive tools that are closer to the realities of the field.
"Mon Coach IA" addresses this challenge by offering dynamic simulations of banking meetings inspired by real-life situations. Learners interact with virtual clients with a range of different profiles, facing a variety of wealth-management issues. Each meeting evolves according to the questions asked and the approach taken by the adviser, making every session unique.
Beyond the simulation itself, the solution provides live feedback to guide learners throughout the meeting, as well as a detailed overall assessment at the end to help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement. A dashboard also makes it possible to track the development of their skills over time.
Meeting the needs of learners and financial institutions
"Mon Coach IA" is designed for a wide range of users: students, work-study trainees, learners in continuing education, as well as advisers and banking networks looking to accelerate the upskilling of their staff.
The solution is available in several formats to meet the needs of financial institutions:
- an offering integrated into the École supérieure de la banque's training programmes
- an "off-the-shelf" offering that can be deployed quickly
- a "bespoke" offering, allowing scenarios, skills covered, learning pathways and integration with the client's own training environment to be tailored
This flexibility enables organisations to have a training tool aligned with their business challenges, sales practices and skills-development strategy.
Under deployment since June 2026, the solution has already been tested by two pilot groups of 45 learners across two wealth-management training programmes: CESB - Expert en Gestion de Patrimoine and the Parcours Excellence. Among the feedback already gathered from early learners, the tool is praised for its relevance in training - thanks to the realism of the situations offered - encouraging reflection on the adviser's approach. Mon Coach IA is also seen as a genuine driver of inclusion, offering a training framework particularly well-suited to those who are more introverted or less comfortable with traditional role-play exercises. The relevance and usefulness of the feedback are also widely highlighted. More than 1,000 learners are expected to join this training from September 2026.
AI designed to meet the demands of the banking sector
"Mon Coach IA" is built on a multi-agent artificial intelligence architecture combining business expertise, pedagogy, compliance and performance measurement. The solution draws on reliable, verified sources and was designed to meet the regulatory and ethical requirements of the banking sector.
In particular, it incorporates mechanisms that guarantee an objective analysis of performance, free from emotional inference, ensuring the responsible and compliant use of artificial intelligence within training programmes.
A collaboration driving innovation in learning
The project stemmed from the École supérieure de la banque's desire to bring greater innovation to its training methods and connect learning more closely with real-world practice. To turn this ambition into reality, each partner contributed complementary expertise: the École brought instructional design and knowledge of the banking advisory profession; Gwenlake contributed generative AI capabilities and multi-agent architecture; Sopra Steria facilitated the transition from concept to operational service by designing a secure cloud architecture, integrating third-party components and standardising the development process.
This collaboration has resulted in a solution that combines technological innovation, teaching excellence and the requirements of the banking sector.
"Between an AI demo that works and a service used by hundreds of people every week, there is a gap that few manage to bridge. That is the gap we took on: secure cloud architecture, integration and compliance issues addressed from the design stage, and long-term maintenance. On this service, the pedagogy was provided by ESBanque, the specialised AI by Gwenlake. Our contribution focused on industrialisation", comments Mung Ki Woo, Chief Digital & Innovation Officer Financial Services at Sopra Steria.
"A genuine pedagogical innovation from ESBanque, Mon Coach IA offers an immersive, differentiating learning experience, specifically designed to strengthen wealth-management advisory skills. Drawing on artificial intelligence, this tool places learners in realistic situations, lets them practise safely, and gives them personalised feedback to support gradual, lasting skills development", adds Jean-Charles Prioux, Managing Director of the École supérieure de la banque.
"Generative artificial intelligence today offers unprecedented opportunities to transform training in the banking sector. Drawing on a multi-agent architecture, Mon Coach IA makes it possible to create ultra-realistic interactions while guaranteeing the objectivity, reliability and regulatory compliance the profession demands. This collaborative project reflects our ambition: to design cutting-edge, bespoke and responsible artificial intelligence systems that meet our partners' most demanding use cases", comments Sylvain Barthélémy, Managing Director of Gwenlake.
