Sopra Steria chosen by the French Ministry of Defence to implement Brasidas, the single new information system for aerospace in service support

Following the communication from the Ministry of the Armed Forces on 24 March, Sopra Steria confirms that it has been selected to implement the new federating information system for aerospace in service support, known as Brasidas, alongside the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) and the Aerospace Maintenance Directorate (DMAé).

The new information system will directly contribute to improving aircraft availability by bringing together all the information on maintenance activities of the different aircraft fleets in a unique digital tool for easy access and use. Deployed in several stages, Brasidas will provide the framework for a standard information system for all in service support activities (maintenance, logistics, documentation, supply chain management, etc.) and for all aircraft fleets. This standardisation of in service support information systems will simplify maintenance operations carried out in the forces, facilitate situation assessment and the management of in service support.

“Since Sopra Steria is a long-standing partner of the Ministry of the Armed Forces, we are very proud to be able to contribute to the implementation of Brasidas. Our teams are now rallied to deploy this new information system, which will directly contribute to improving the availability of aircraft, helicopters and drones in service with the armed forces.”
said Laurent Giovachini, Deputy CEO of the Group.
