These two awards are a tribute to the market's recognition of the ambitious environmental programme and all the actions that Sopra Steria has been taking for many years as part of its social responsibility policy.

As a major player in the digital sector, Sopra Steria's mission is to make innovation useful to as many people as possible and seek to have a positive impact, in a responsible and ethical manner, on society as a whole.

"2021 list of France's most responsible companies" by Le Point & Statista: Sopra Steria in the Top 10 and 2nd in the "IT and Telecoms" sector

Sopra Steria is in 8th place on this list, among 250 other organisations, with a score of 88.6/100. This study ranks all the commitments of 2,000 French companies with more than 500 employees, based on around twenty key indicators in each of the three themes of Environment, Social and Governance.

These three themes are themselves the subject of dedicated rankings: Sopra Steria is ranked 10th out of the 50 best companies in the "Environment" category and 14th in the "Social" category.

Sopra Steria, in the Top 15 of the "Climate Champions" Challenges & Statista ranking

Challenges, on the other hand, has named the "Climate Champions 2021", identifying the French companies that have reduced their CO2 emissions intensity the most over the last few years. Sopra Steria is ranked 11th out of the 75 companies listed.

With an annual reduction in its emissions intensity of 19.7%, Sopra Steria is at the top of the ranking of companies that are committed to reducing their carbon emissions by 6 to 20% per year.

To compile this ranking, Statista collected information from CAC 40 companies and all voluntary companies that emit a minimum of 2,000 tonnes of CO2 in 2019. The ranking was drawn up on the basis of data relating to direct greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1) and indirect energy emissions (scope 2, including on-site offices and data centres). If we add indirect emissions (scope 3, which include business travel and off-site data centres), our cumulative reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, both direct and indirect, is 36.7% since 2015.

These two rankings conclude a year 2020 that marks the strengthening of Sopra Steria's commitments. The Group was ranked for the second year in a row in the Top 1% of companies evaluated by the EcoVadis platform and obtained the Platinum level, the highest distinction. Last September, Sopra Steria announced its objective of achieving "zero net emissions" by 2028.
