This progress report, published for the first time by Sopra Steria, marks a significant milestone. It reflects our long-term commitment to building the foundations of a responsible digital world—one that is more sustainable, trustworthy, and fully dedicated to serving society.
We have chosen to be a proactive company, making digital technology a lever for sustainability, trust, and positive societal impact. Step by step, we are rolling out tangible initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and to respond to the ongoing transformations brought by generative AI. Patiently, we are building a strong European group by integrating sustainable performance and addressing long-term issues of strategic autonomy and security. Every day, we strive to ensure that digital technology is a vector of inclusion—especially for the most vulnerable.

In a world marked by geopolitical instability, rising conflicts, technological disruptions, and the complex equations of the low-carbon transition, we reaffirm our determination to act with rigour, clarity, and transparency. This report offers an honest snapshot of our actions, ambitions, and the levers we are activating to transform both our footprint and our impact in a lasting way.
This first progress report, inspired by our regulatory sustainability report, reflects a core belief: our business performance cannot be separated from our impact on the world. It highlights the breadth and operational depth of Sopra Steria’s holistic commitments to sustainable development. It also conveys a shared ambition—it sketches the vision, but it is the expertise and daily dedication of our teams that bring it to life and help pave the way toward a more responsible digital future.

Chief Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Officer, Sopra Steria
Digital is not immaterial. Its carbon footprint is very real—and growing fast. Sopra Steria is developing open-source assessment tools designed to promote more responsible and sustainable use of digital technologies.
In the face of rising cyber threats, disinformation, and digital sovereignty challenges, we are committed to a rigorous and ethical approach: a CyberVadis score of 985/1000, responsible AI governance, and clear commitments to ensure controlled technology serving the common good.
Digital must leave no one behind. We’re working to make it a driver of inclusion: digital mentoring, skills-based sponsorship, partnerships with Emmaüs Connect… Concrete initiatives anchored in local communities and real needs.
