Our environmental commitments

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing humanity. As such, governments, businesses and civil society must work together to protect future generations. Over the past ten years, Sopra Steria has focused its environmental programme on reducing the environmental impact of its business (reducing emissions, promoting the circular economy, fostering biodiversity, and engaging with stakeholders).
The Group also integrates best practice in environmental management into its operations and the services that it provides to customers. The Group also works with its supply chain to reduce the environmental impact of the goods and services that it purchases. As such, it has been a leader on climate action and environmental protection for many years.

Including environmental sustainability in our service offering

Embedding environmental concerns for sustainable development into an organisation’s strategy and action provides Sopra Steria with numerous business opportunities.  The Group aims to make a positive contribution to its customers by drawing inspiration from the environmental objectives of European regulation: climate change adaptation and mitigation, conserving water resources, sustainable use of resources and transition to a circular economy, preventing pollution, and protection of biodiversity. We apply this approach to managing our activities, building principles of sustainable design into our practices, reducing our energy consumption and sustainably managing our IT infrastructure.
