World ATM Congress: Sopra Steria will be presenting its offerings, expertise and innovations in the field of air traffic

8-10 March 2016 – Madrid – Stand 488

Paris, 3 March 2016

Sopra Steria, a European leader in digital transformation, will be on hand for the World ATM Congress to be held in Madrid on 8-10 March. Sopra Steria will be presenting its engineering offerings for ATM (Air Traffic Management) and airport systems, interoperability and cybersecurity, as well as its Airport solutions and expertise for modelling and optimizing capacity. In addition, Sopra Steria will be hosting a conference on “Making realistic and adaptive ATC simulations through machine learning techniques”, providing a natural link to the “Shared Virtual Sky” (SVS) and EVAA solutions on display at the stand.

Given that there are  more than 80,000 flights each day and over 3 billion travellers worldwide, the ATM sector must work together to create innovative solutions that create optimal flying conditions for passengers, in anticipation of an enormous increase in traffic.

With more than 25 years of experience in digital engineering for air traffic management systems, notably on behalf of France’s air navigation service provider, the DSNA, Sopra Steria will once again be attending the World ATM Congress to meet with other members of the ATM sector and showcase its solutions and expertise. CIMPA, the Sopra Steria subsidiary that specializes in product lifecycle management, will be presenting its solutions for managing airport platforms used to model and optimize capacity and 3D parking.

On the agenda:

  • A conference on “Making realistic and adaptive ATC simulations through machine learning techniques”, scheduled for 9 March 2016 at 5:05 pm, moderated by Didier Bosque, Innovation Director for the Commercial Division, and Sébastien Chabrier, Senior ATM Consultant.
  • In response to the challenges facing its European ATM customers, Sopra Steria will have two innovations on display at its stand:
    • SVS (Shared Virtual Sky), a collaborative, standardized interoperability platform for validation and training as part of the SESAR programme. Experts from ENAC will be on hand to provide an immersive demonstration in the “Virtual Sky” developed by Sopra Steria.
    • EVAA, an innovative traffic generator based on adaptive multi-agent systems (AMAS). By providing visitors with an overview of its efforts to develop an innovative perspective on traffic generation, Sopra Steria aims to showcase the realistic and adaptive features of its EVAA solution.
